Life can feel overwhelming when you're carrying the weight of anxiety, burnout, family expectations, relationship stress, or uncertainty about what comes next. You may be navigating major life transitions, struggling with self-esteem and identity, feeling stuck in unhealthy patterns, or trying to balance the competing demands of school, work, and personal responsibilities. Others may find themselves coping with substance use concerns, communication challenges, or the pressure to always appear strong while silently struggling. Neurodivergent children, teens, and adults may also face unique challenges related to emotional regulation, social relationships, self-understanding, academic or workplace demands, and navigating environments that weren't designed with their needs in mind.
As a therapist, I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel understood and empowered to make meaningful changes. My approach is collaborative, practical, and goal-oriented, blending emotional support with evidence-based strategies to help you better understand yourself and navigate life's challenges. I can help you to build healthier coping skills, strengthen relationships, improve emotional awareness and communication, and develop realistic tools you can apply beyond our sessions. My goal is to help you feel more confident, connected, and equipped to move forward in a way that aligns with your values and the life you want to create.

My Path as a Therapist
My path as a therapist began through years of working closely with children, families, and underserved communities within child welfare and social services. Supporting individuals through trauma, family instability, parenting challenges, reunification processes, and major life transitions gave me firsthand insight into how chronic stress, cultural pressures, and systemic barriers can deeply affect emotional well-being and relationships. These experiences strengthened my belief that healing begins when people feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years supporting children, adolescents, and families across education, behavioral health, and community mental health settings. I began working with neurodivergent children as a Special Education Instructor and Registered Behavior Technician, helping children with ADHD, autism, and developmental differences strengthen communication, emotional regulation, social skills, and daily functioning. As a social worker and counselor, I expanded my work to include foster and justice-involved youth, adults navigating mental health and substance use concerns, and individuals facing significant life stressors. These experiences shaped my belief that healing begins with feeling understood and supported, and that meaningful change happens when we meet people where they are with compassion and practical guidance.
Today, I work with children, teens, adults, and families navigating a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, autism, anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, parent-child relationship challenges, identity and self-esteem concerns, academic and college stress, career-related burnout, life transitions, substance use and recovery, and communication or relationship struggles. I also enjoy supporting young adults, graduate students, men navigating emotional expression, and LGBTQ+ individuals exploring identity and belonging. My approach is collaborative, practical, and goal-oriented, integrating evidence-based strategies to help clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change beyond the therapy room.
My cultural lens has been shaped by working alongside individuals and families from diverse backgrounds and communities. Through supporting immigrant families, neurodivergent individuals, LGBTQ+ clients, older adults, and people from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic experiences, I have come to appreciate how culture and identity influence emotional well-being and relationships. I approach therapy with cultural humility, curiosity, and respect, striving to create a space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported in their unique lived experiences.
