The fertility journey can be filled with hope, disappointment, grief, and uncertainty, often accompanied by feelings of isolation, stress, and anxiety. In my personal experience, undergoing fertility treatment faces a range of emotional and psychological challenges, such as emotional distress, relationship strain, financial pressure, and a sense of inadequacy, all stemming from the complex physical, emotional, and social demands of the process. However, you are not alone! As a therapist, I want to help my clients feel seen, heard, and supported during this journey.
I offer both short-term and long-term therapy. Short-term therapy emphasizes managing stress, regulating emotions, and focusing on strengths and goals throughout the fertility treatment. Long-term therapy focuses on processing past traumas, understanding and healing inner emotional conflicts, and strengthening the sense of security and self-worth in the face of fertility-related challenges.
My approach is trauma-informed, compassion-based, and culturally sensitive. Skill building is also one of the most important parts of my practice. Developing communication skills, coping strategies, and practicing grounding exercises can empower my clients going through fertility treatment to express their needs and feelings effectively, manage emotional stress, and stay grounded during an often overwhelming journey.
I strive to provide a safe and compassionate environment where my clients can explore and process the complex emotions that arise during the fertility journey. I intend to support my client every step of the way, offering practical tools and heartfelt empathy to help reduce stress, enhance self-esteem, and foster resilience, supporting my clients to navigate the highs and lows with strength and self-compassion.

That understanding drives me to continually seek new ways to serve our clients, whether through educational content, expanded service offerings, or community outreach. I’m committed to making sure that anyone navigating fertility struggles knows where to turn and feels supported every step of the way.
Jennifer M. Wang, PhD
Clinical Research Specialist
Language(s) I speak: English / Mandarin
Dr. Jennifer M. Wang is a behavioral scientist with a Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology and a minor in Statistics, bringing over a decade of experience in academic research and applied data science. Her work centers on applying psychological science to improve mental health care, with a focus on how major life transitions—particularly fertility challenges and family-building decisions- affect mental health. Fertility challenges often trigger a complex mix of emotions, including grief, guilt, anxiety, and a sense of loss of control, which can take a significant toll on individual mental health. These struggles can also place strain on couple relationships, affecting communication, intimacy, and emotional connection as partners cope with uncertainty and shared disappointment.
At The Talking Corner, Dr. Wang advised on research methodology, statistical analysis, and the development of evidence-based mental health programs. By translating the latest research into practical tools and insights, she strengthens the ability of in-house therapists to provide informed, empathetic, and effective care. Her work enhances clinical practice by equipping therapists with the resources to better support clients navigating the emotional complexities of fertility struggles, ultimately improving outcomes for both clients and providers.
