My Path as a Therapist

My path as a therapist began in community and school-based settings, where I supported children, teens, and families navigating emotional and behavioral challenges. I provided trauma-informed therapy through individual and group sessions, helping young clients process difficult experiences using play therapy, sand tray techniques, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). These experiences deepened my understanding of how early attachment and relational patterns shape emotional wellbeing and resilience.

I later worked in home- and community-based programs with youth and families impacted by justice involvement and trauma. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, I provided strength-based interventions focused on emotional regulation, family systems, and relationship repair.

Today, as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I specialize in working with couples and individuals facing relational conflict, communication breakdowns, infidelity, infertility, and life transitions. My clinical training includes EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I integrate these evidence-based approaches to help clients strengthen connections, rebuild trust, and cultivate emotional safety in their relationships.

My goal is to create a compassionate, culturally responsive space where clients feel supported to heal, grow, and rediscover closeness—whether in their relationships with others or within themselves.
