Life experiences, relationships, family expectations, and cultural pressures can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. Anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity concerns, or major life transitions can make it difficult to feel like yourself, especially when you have spent years carrying experiences that others may not fully understand.

I believe therapy should be a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself and feel genuinely heard and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, compassionate, and direct, and I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD and complex trauma, relationship concerns, grief and loss, self-esteem, identity, neurodivergence, and cultural or intergenerational challenges. I have a particular passion for supporting immigrants and first- and second-generation individuals, LGBTQ+ clients, neurodivergent adults, and those healing from trauma or difficult life experiences.

Using approaches such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness, I tailor therapy to each person rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we can explore the experiences and patterns that may be affecting you, develop practical tools for navigating challenges, and create space for healing and meaningful change. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, feel more confident in who you are, and move forward in a way that feels authentic to you.

My Path as a Therapist

My path as a therapist has been shaped by my passion for supporting people through difficult and vulnerable periods of their lives. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I have worked with diverse populations across community mental health, healthcare, schools, crisis intervention, and private practice. Much of my clinical experience has focused on helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, PTSD, complex trauma, relationship concerns, grief and loss, identity, and major life transitions.

I have extensive experience working with trauma and complex mental health concerns, including domestic violence and intimate partner violence, substance use and co-occurring disorders, and serious and persistent mental illness. Working with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds has taught me the importance of looking beyond symptoms and understanding how relationships, past experiences, culture, family dynamics, and identity can influence mental health.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, compassionate, and direct. I integrate EMDR therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, trauma-informed therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness and grounding techniques. I tailor therapy to each client's individual needs and goals, helping clients process difficult experiences, better understand emotional and relationship patterns, and develop practical tools for meaningful change.

I am especially passionate about providing culturally responsive therapy for immigrants and first- and second-generation individuals, LGBTQ+ clients, neurodivergent adults, including those with ADHD and Autism, and survivors of trauma and domestic violence. I understand how culture, family expectations, identity, and intergenerational experiences can shape the way we understand ourselves and relate to others. I provide online therapy in California in both English and Spanish, with the goal of creating a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported.
