My Path as a Therapist
I began my career in community mental health, supporting children and teens through school stress, family conflicts, social anxiety, and cultural adjustment. Over time, I expanded my work to include adults, college and graduate students, young professionals, and LGBTQ+ clients across California. I specialize in anxiety therapy, EMDR therapy, emotional regulation, trauma-informed care, relationship issues, ADHD, career stress, and immigration evaluation, offering a compassionate, evidence-based approach tailored to each person’s unique needs.
As an immigrant and first-generation Asian American therapist, I understand the challenges of navigating cultural identity, family expectations, and belonging. I especially enjoy working with Asian and Asian American clients, bicultural families, and the LGBTQ+ community, providing culturally responsive therapy that honors and celebrates each person’s lived experience.
Sessions are available virtually throughout California in English and Mandarin, with insurance accepted including Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, and most PPO plans. I strive to create a safe, inclusive space where clients can feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow with confidence and clarity.
